Fox News: Seifert speaks out against controversial children's book

A newly released children’s book titled Abortion Is Everything — marketed to ages 5–8 and framing abortion as a “superpower” — is igniting a national conversation on culture, innocence, and how we teach children about life’s most profound moral questions.

The book, produced by the activist group Shout Your Abortion, describes abortion using language intended to make it accessible, inclusive, and even empowering for young readers. Critics across the country — from parents to faith-based leaders — are raising urgent concerns about the implications of such messaging targeted at young children.

In a powerful response to the controversy, Sarah Gabel Seifert, CEO and Co-Founder of EveryLife, addressed the narrative directly in a Fox News interview.

“Abortion is not ‘everything.’ Abortion ends everything — it ends a life,” Seifert said. “Our children deserve a better narrative. We should be teaching them about the beauty, dignity and value of every human life, and that life should be celebrated, protected and defended from the moment of conception.”

Calling the book “extremely concerning,” Seifert emphasized that framing abortion as a virtue to children distorts reality and undermines the inherent value of human life. She urged parents to proactively engage in age-appropriate conversations with their children before activists or pop culture do.

Seifert also highlighted a deeper cultural push behind such messaging — one that suggests children are burdens or obstacles to personal goals — and offered a counter-vision rooted in celebrating children as gifts and affirming life as a foundational good.

At EveryLife, Seifert continues to champion a cultural narrative that honors life — from conception onward — and supports families in choosing life through EveryLife’s giveback initiatives and its Buy For a Cause donations to pregnancy resource centers.

To date, the EveryLife community of pro-life partners and organizations have donated more than 8 million diapers to families in need.
